Raindance Systems was proud to be a major sponsor of this event.

With over 300 delegates and presentations from over 30 Indigenous Ranger groups, Scientists, and 35 International delegates.

This was a sold-out event. The 2023 theme was ‘Our Past informs our Future’, which picked up on the theme of the State of the Environment Report released in 2022. Locally and globally, the past is a rich source of useful information.

The 2023 Forum focused on how experience, history, evidence, and case studies can be used to inform and empower decision-making in the savanna burning space. It explored both traditional and mainstream forms of knowledge sharing within the network and beyond.

Raindance carried out a live demonstration to the international delegates as part of the International Savanna Fire Initiative. A Robinson R44 Helicopter was kindly supplied by Paul Blore from Outback Helicopters for the demonstration. This was a well-received demonstration with some of the international delegates present for the large-scale burns Raindance conducted with Africa Parks and the Chobe National Park in Africa later this year.

OUR PRODUCTS

Aerial Incendiary Systems designed for the harshest environments in the world.

Incendiary Devices

For over 20 years Raindance Systems have been developing Aerial Incendiary Devices. Our current systems are the R3 and R4 Incendiary Devices and they offer many improvements over previous systems, making them the most advanced systems available in the world for use in preventative fire and ecological management, as well as backburning. All our systems are used in a wide range of diverse environments to suit most requirements and operations.

Capsules

Our Incendiary Capsule system is unique in many ways. We make all our Incendiary Capsules in-house, ensuring quality control throughout the manufacturing process. Each box of Incendiary Capsules contains 1000 incendiaries joined together into a Capsule Belt. This results in a compact box (300mm x 300mm x 150mm or 12” x 12” x 6” for R3 Incendairy Boxes), weighing only 2.2kg (4.8lb).
